Moon Lake Outreach Program
Thanks to the Pasco County government, The Volunteer Way has been given the opportunity to provide many services for the homeless and low income people in the Moon Lake Area.
The Volunteer Way Moon Lake Outreach Facility features:
Soup Kitchen: The Soup Kitchen serves an average of 176 lunches per day, six days a week.
Other services available include: free clothing and free personal and small household items. The facility, also, offers an opportunity to take a warm shower to residents of the area who do not have running water. And, once a month, free haircuts are available. Alanon meetings are held on the premises, and there is a Chapel that holds services on Sundays and offers pastoral services and Christian counseling.
Once a month, the new Pasco County Mobile Medical Care Unit visits this facility providing free medical checkups and prescriptions to the residents in the area who do not have health insurance.
The Volunteer Way Moon Lake Outreach Facility is located at 10008 Moon Lake Road in New Port Richey.
This facility opens from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
We would appreciate your help. We need volunteers to assist us by making casseroles, soups, baking cookies, etc in their homes.
